Setting FFT Calculation Conditions
Relationship between recording modes and averaging types
When the recording mode is set to
[Single]
Repeatedly measures a waveform until the waveform acquisition count reaches the number
specified in the
[Averaging Number]
box.
Starting a measurement
Acquiring data
The instrument acquires data when a trigger condition is
satisfied.
(If no trigger setting is configured, pressing the
START
key
allows the instrument to start to acquire data.)
FFT calculation
The instrument clips off a data set that contains a specified
points, and processes the data set through the FFT.
The message
[Calculating]
appears on the screen status bar.
Averaging
The instrument executes the averaging process.
Displaying calculation
results
The instrument displays results on the waveform screen.
(Saving results)
The instrument with the automatic saving set to
[On]
saves
data every time.
When the waveform acquisition count has not reached the
specified number, the instrument repeats acquisitions of
waveforms.
Finishing the
measurement
When the waveform acquisition count reaches the specified
number, the instrument finishes the measurement.
If you press the
STOP
key to stop the measurement before
the count has not been reached the specified number, the
instrument displays an averaging result up to that point.
