Hilti Retrofit addition CP 680 110/4” N-RAD : Installation Guidelines:
Please Note: The following guidelines are recommended for easy installation:
1: Use only an Hilti SF/H 14-A or Hilti SFH 22-A, which will ensure that you have
sufficient torque to drill in the screws.
2: Keep
Continuous Pressure
onto the screw when drilling it in, and keep
pushing hard until it is set fully onto the RAD,
Do Not do any stop–start drilling
, as the screw may jack the RAD away from
the metal ring on the collar as it screws in.
3: Charge the battery before going to site for the installation of the RAD.
4: Take a Hex Head setting socket, of the correct size for the screws, to the site for
installation of the RAD.
5: Screw first half of the RAD in, & then make sure the second half of the RAD fits
Without any Overlap
before you screw in the second half of the RAD.
6: Try to ensure that all of the pre-drilled screw holes in the RAD are lined up to
miss the cross pipes of the 4 way riser, as this will make the drilling process very
easy to do.
7: If you have any further questions, or feedback on the installation process, then
please contact our National Customer Service Team on 131 292 as below.
