Data message
This section shows an example of a data object message in JSON format
sent from the sensorEDGE device to the sensorEDGE cloud.
The sensorEDGE device “bundles” the current data values from its
connected sensors in an array and sends them to the cloud in a single
JSON object message. This is repeated according to the
DATA
PUBLISHING INTERVAL
(by default every 10 seconds), which can be
configured on the
Device Details
page of the Portal’s
Device Manager
or
in the
IO-Link Configurator
of the
Local Device Manager
.
By default, one JSON data message contains payload data from
all
connected sensors; however, the
IO-Link Configurator
also allows you to
exclude individual sensors (or certain measurements values) from the
message array. For more information, see section
Note that the JSON objects published by the sensorEDGE comply with the
Open Industry 4.0 Alliance Development Guideline
.
In this example, two sensors are connected to the sensorEDGE device.
Important elements are marked with a red number and explained in the
table below the message.
