Step-by-step instructions

1. Download the zip archive containing the recovery image from Hilscher to

your local PC and unpack it.

Go to the

netFIELD Software Overview

page

and navigate to the latest

netFIELD

OS Releases

version. On the

netFIELD OS Version

page, scroll down

to the

netFIELD Compact

section. In the

Software

table of the

netFIELD

Compact

section, look for the

Recovery (factory reset) via USB memory

stick

entry and download the linked

recovery.zip

file.

Unpack the downloaded zip archive on your local PC.

The unpacked

recovery

archive contains the following files, which you

will later have to copy to the USB stick (after having formatted the stick):

2. Format and rename USB stick.

Connect the USB stick to your Windows PC.

Open the Windows Explorer.

Select the USB stick and choose

Format...

from the context menu.
