Alarm Summary
See table 2-1 on page 2-6 and table 2-2 on page 2-6 to identify the cause and
the appropriate corrective action for alarm conditions on the CarePorter™
Cart.

Indications Causes Actions
The air cylinder LED
begins flashing, and an
audible alarm sounds. This occurs when pressure
in the air cylinder drops to
600 psi (4137 kPa) and
below. Check the patient.
Replace the air cylinder
with a full one. The alarm
will de-activate when the
air cylinder pressure
exceeds 600 psi (4137
kPa).
The oxygen cylinder LED
begins flashing, and an
audible alarm sounds. This occurs when pressure
in the oxygen cylinder
drops to 600 psi (4137
kPa) and below. Check the patient.
Replace the oxygen cylin-
der with a full one. The
alarm will de-activate
when the oxygen cylinder
pressure exceeds 600 psi
(4137 kPa).
Indications Causes Actions
The “Battery On” LED
illuminates. This occurs when the
CarePorter™ Cart is on
TPM battery power. None
The “No Ground Present”
LED illuminates. This occurs when no earth
ground is present (e.g.
when the unit is
unplugged during trans-
port and on TPM power). Remove the CarePorter™
Cart from service, and
check the ground connec-
tions (only when plugged
into a wall outlet).
