Speaker & RCA Connections

ZXi 1500 / ZXi 2200

FULL-MODE / Connection of a Loudspeakersystem

• Connect the "LINE IN" of the amplifier to the head unit´s line output with appropriate good quality RCA cables.
• Connect the speakers with appropriate wires to the terminal block (SPEAKER OUTPUT - and +) of the amplifier.
• The minimum final speaker impedance must not be lower than 1 Ohms in total. Too low speaker loads result in too high heat dissipation and may

cause the amplifier run into protection.

• Please observe correct speaker channels and polarity as printed by the speaker terminal.
• Caution: The Loudspeakers don´t get a Stereo-Signal. If you want to get a Stereo-Signal you have to use a second Amplifier in

Master/Slave-Mode.

• If your head unit has an subwoofer line output with an integrated crossover you are able to use one or two Subwoofers in Full-Mode.

In this mode PHASE - Control, LOW PASS - Control, SUB SONIC - Control and BASS REMOTE are out of function.

MODE - Switch

• Set the switch in this operation mode to "FULL" - position.

FREQ RANGE - Control

• Allows you to adjust the frequency at which the bass boost should work. It is continously variable between 20Hz up to 80Hz.

Q-Control

• Allows you to adjust the filter performance Q of the Crossover. So you can change the playback quality in the range of the cut-off

frequency."WIDE" Q - 0.3, "NARROW" Q - 1.0. Regular Setting is on 12 o`clock - position Q - 0.5/Linkwitz-Reilly and

  3 o`clock - position Q - 0.7 /Butterworth.

SUB BOOST - Control

•

Allows you to adjust the bass boost from 0dB up to 18dB.

LEVEL

• Turn the LEVEL control of the amplifier to 6V position.
• Turn the head unit volume control to about 80 - 90% of its full setting.
• Turn the LEVEL control clockwise until you hear some distortion.
• Then turn back the LEVEL control slightly until you can hear a clean sound.

In this Example the Bass-Remote-Control should not be used!

By using a additional Subwoofer,
connect it to the non-occupied
terminals, ensure that the total
impedance load is not lower
than 1 Ohm.

Caution!

Do  not connect speaker (-) to the ground or vehicle's chassis.

+

+

Mono Speakers 2 - 8 Ohm

Connect RCA outputs of the head unit with
LINE IN of the amplifier.
