Check that the extra support plates do not bend or sink into the ground.
Do not lower the stabiliser legs on the edge of an embankment, soft ground,
hollows, etc… Lower the stabiliser legs only on to a flat, firm and stable surface.
5.2.2. Extend the stabiliser extensions
The procedure of setting the stabiliser extensions differs depending on the type of stabiliser
extensions. Repeat the instructions for the stabiliser extension on the other side of the vehicle. For
auxiliary stabiliser system [option]: Repeat the process.
Manually controlled stabiliser extensions
Unlock Stabiliser extension locking devices (2) and (3).
Take a firm grip around handle (1), and pull to extend the
stabiliser extension and lock with the handle (3).
Hydraulically controlled stabiliser extensions
Unlock the Stabiliser extension locking device (2) [option]
and extend the stabiliser extensions with the levers on the
valve or the controller depending on your crane
configuration.
DANGER
Do not stand in front of the hydraulically operated stabiliser extensions when you
are operating them!
