And the region to the left has a 3.    The 3 is not just the 3 for the left-box, 
but the 3 for the whole 2nd row as well. 

The 3 for the middle box cannot go in the top row or the middle row of the 
box. The 3 can only go in the bottom row.    There are two empty sub-grids 
in the middle region’s bottom row. 

Look down at the central region. It has a 3.    The 3 is the 3 not just for its 
region and row but for its column as well. 

There is only one place a 3 can go in the middle-top region, so enter 3 in 
that cell. 

That kind of thinking will lead you to the solution.  Each puzzle has just 
one solution.
