The device is equipped with the following safety
devices.
Guards
Guards protect hazardous sections of the device.
They do not affect its operation.
Guards prevent direct access to the rotating or mov-
ing parts of the device. They must only be removed
for setup, maintenance or repair work and must be
mounted again before restarting the device.
The device is equipped with the following guards:
– Housing
– Safety grille for access protection at the air in-
take and outlet openings.
Other safety devices
– The power supply unit for the device is fitted with
an earthed plug.

Control and display elements
The device is operated either using the control panel
on the side of the device or with a remote control.

Button Description
COOL
To switch the cooling mode on and off.
SPEED
To set the fan speed. Three different
speed levels can be set.
TIMER
To switch the timer function on and off in
order to set a time delay in the switching
on and off of the device.
– Switch-on time delay:
When the device is switched on, press
the
TIMER
button repeatedly until the
correct time is displayed (the time
flashes), then switch off the device.
– Switch-off time delay:
When the device is switched on, press
the
TIMER
button repeatedly until the
correct time is displayed. The switch-
off time is then set.
ON/OFF Press this button to switch the device on
and off. After the device has been
switched on, the fan and the pump start;
the operating status is shown on the dis-
play and the device runs in continuous
mode.
Acoustic signal
An acoustic signal sounds when the device is oper-
ated with an empty water tank in
COOL
mode. The
device then runs in
Ventilation
mode.
To restore
COOL
mode, the water tank must be
topped up with water.
Switch off the
COOL
mode to deactivate the acous-
tic signal.
