2.1.4. Some rules.
Below are some rules to follow when building the chimney.
Use resistant and incombustible materials. Do not use fibre cement.
Choose a route which is as vertical and straight as possible and do not connect
several appliances to the same chimney.
Ensure that the flue does not come out into an area near buildings; it must exceed the
nearest building top if there is an adjoining structure.
Choose a place for the flue which is as protected from the cold as possible.If possible
position the chimney inside the house.
The internal walls must be completely smooth and free of obstacles. At the joints
between tubes and built-in chimneys, avoid choking.
