CYLINDER, PISTON

  Measure the piston ring-to-groove 

clearance with a feeler gauge. 

 

Working limit:   

    Top ring: replace above 0.11mm 
    2

 ring: replace above 0.09 mm

  Take-off piston rings and put into the 

  bottom of cylinder. 
 

Note

Use piston to press the ring into cylinder.

  Measure the opening gap of the piston 

ring when pressed into cylinder. 

Working limit:   

    Top ring: replace above 0.5mm

    Replace if inside diameter is over
