The bushing is placed on the table mount, which is
then pushed down into the universal connector.

Make sure the universal connector is tightened sufficiently so that the table does not
slide down when used.
The table top is pushed in on the mount and
screwed on tightly (see external assembly
instructions).
Then adjust the table to desired height and tighten
the universal connector well!
