Caution: The main pieces of this pond ornament are large and very heavy, be certain you have sufficient assistance to safely
lift and place them before you begin assembly!
1. Locate a suitable site for your Rock Falls Pond Ornament. Site should be level and the be capable of supporting the
weight while provide a pleasing viewing angle.
2. Locate 5888 Second Rock Spiller on a suitable site at the edge of your pond. Be certain the spiller is properly supported
and will not cause the bank or edge of the pond to collapse.
NOTE: this piece is very heavy! Be certain you have sufficient assistance to safely lift and move this piece.
3. Lay 5887 Top Rock Spiller on it’s back and thread three

" X 1" barbed adaptors into the fittings in the bottom of
the spiller.
NOTE: To prevent chipping or other damage, protect the back of the spiller by cushioning it with a piece of burlap or other
suitable material before laying it on a hard surface.
4. Connect three pieces of 36" X 1" pieces of NKT (No Kink Tubing) to the three barbed adaptors and secure each with a
hose clamp to the adaptor.
5. This step is best accomplished with at least three people, two to lift and place the 5887 Top Rock Spiller on the
Second Rock Spiller and one to guide the three pieces of NKT through the Second Spiller and into the pond.
NOTE: there are passages through the Second Rock Spiller that accommodate the NKT, be certain the tubing passes through
these and is not twisted or pinched as it is installed. For best flow and water action it will be necessary to locate these three
pieces of NKT in relation to the pump in the next step. It will be easier to do this if you identify each piece of tubing before
you feed them through the two middle spillers.
6. Connect the 60" piece of NKT to the pump outlet and secure it with a hose clamp.
7. Locate the pump in the pond and route the power cord to your power source. Select a location that will allow you to
hide the pump and cord from view. The pump draws water from its bottom surface. If your pond has a mud or sand
bottom, it is best if the pump is located on a hard flat surface such as a piece of flag stone or concrete to prevent its
intake from becoming quickly clogged with debris.
NOTE: as this pond ornament draws water directly from your pond, it may be easier to make some of the connections
described in the following steps (7-12) outside the pond, making only the final connection in the pond.
8. Connect one of the 1" barbed “T” fittings to the end of the hose you just connected to the pump and secure with a
hose clamp.
9. Add a flow restrictor to each of the three 36" X 1" pieces of NKT that feed the water spills in the Top Spiller
approximately 2" from the unconnected end of each tube.
10. Locate the NKT that feeds the top or center spill in the Top Spiller and connect it to one leg of the “T” in Step 8,
securing it with a hose clamp. This hose should be the closest connection to the pump so that there is maximum flow
provided to the center spiller, as this will provide the most pleasing water action.
11. Connect the 6" piece of NKT to the other leg of the “T” from Step 8 and secure with a hose clamp.
12. Connect the second “T” to the end of the NKT from the previous step and secure with a hose clamp.
13. Connect the remaining two pieces of NKT from the Top Spiller the open legs of the “T” from Step 11 and secure
with hose clamps.
14. Now, you may test the system by connecting the pump to a GFI protected 110V circuit.
15. You may choose to conceal the NKT with decorative rocks or plants that compliment the landscape of your
pond setting.
16. Your pond ornament is now ready to operate, sit back and enjoy the sight and sound of the flowing water.
