7 Maintenance
When carrying out maintenance work, always observe the following safety rules.
•
Only trained technicians are authorised to perform the described maintenance activities.
•
Always disconnect the power supply by turning the main switch to "0" or disconnecting the plug.
•
Always disconnect the air supply (if applicable).
•
Test the machine after carrying out maintenance work or repairs to make sure the machine can
be used safely.
7.1 Maintenance Schedule
The diagram below shows the maintenance activities that must be performed and the interval with
which these activities must be performed.
For specific descriptions for performing maintenance activities, consult the appropriate section
within Maintenance on page 51.

Cleaning
Cleaning the machine.

Inspections
Check the oil level.

Run the pump cleaning program.

Inspect the sealing bars.

Inspect the silicone rubber of the silicone holders.

Inspect the lid gasket.

Check the plastic lid for cracks (if applicable).

Inspect the lid springs. Pay additional attention to damage and the
fastenings of the lid springs.

Lubrication
Lubricate the grease nipples of the parallel arms at the pivot point
using FDA approved bearing grease.

Replace the oil and the oil filter of the vacuum pump. See Technical
Data on page 63 for the type of oil.

Replacement
Replace the sealing wires.

Replace the silicone rubber of the silicone holders.

Replace the lid gasket.
