2.2 Assembly, connection, programming
These counters are built and tested in accordance with IEC/EN 61010-1, Protection Class II. They have left the
factory in a condition that is in compliance with all safety-relevant requirements.
In order to maintain this condition and ensure operational safety, the User is requested to observe the safety no-
tes and warnings given in these operating instructions.
Danger!
Risk of safety hazards due to incorrect/faulty assembly and connection.
• The max. operating voltages must not be exceeded!
• 12 – 30VDC and 24VAC multifunction counters have to be operated at safety extra-low voltages (SELV) in or
der to prevent hazardous shock currents
• An external fuse has to be provided to protect the multifunction counter (see Chapter 7, Technical Data).
• Installation and assembly shall be carried out by skilled and trained electricians only.
• Do not connect the counter without making sure that it no longer carries any live voltages. Always separate
it from the mains supply before connecting.
• Make sure that live terminals are properly protected against inadvertent contact.
