Network Statistics

The PROFINET switch collects statistical data for each port via the type of arriving (RX) and forwarded
(TX) frames. The following types are differentiated:

Unicast: Frame addressed directly to the device

Multicast: Frame addressed to a group of devices

Broadcast: Frame addressed to all devices in the network. The data can be queried and reset.

The form for querying and resetting the data is found under “Statistics by Type” (“Statistics” section).

6.5.1

Statistics on transmission errors

The PROFINET switch collects statistical data about frames that have arrived with transmission errors
for each port.

Here, a differentiation is made between:

Undersize

Fragment

Oversize

Jabber

Symbol

CRC

Alignment

The data can be queried and reset.

The form for querying and resetting the data is found under “Statistics by Error” (“Statistics” section).
