3. Select >Pen drive< or >WLAN< .
NOTICE
If you wish to start an update through pen drive, the update file must first be transferred from
the Hella Gutmann homepage to the pen drive.
The update file can be accessed and downloaded via the following link: https://www.hella-
gutmann.com/fileadmin/00_HGS_Bilder/X_Downloads/SEG-Serie/V53/segV_update.

If >Pen drive< is selected, then the pen drive must be
FAT 32
-formatted. The device then searches for update
files on the pen drive.
If >WLAN< is selected, the device connects to the HGS server and searches for an update file there.
IMPORTANT
Insufficient voltage supply
System data loss
Do not switch off the device during the update and do not disconnect it from voltage supply.
Ensure sufficient voltage supply.
4. Start the update with .
The device searches for a new update, the files will then be downloaded and installed.
The device switches off and on again automatically after the successful software update.

The >Service menu< is exclusively reserved for Hella Gutmann service technicians or the testing organizations.
