Electrical connection
The unit must be fully isolated from the power supply before any maintenance and installation work or opening
the unit! The electrical connecton must only be carried out by an authorised electrician according to the
following wiring diagrams.
The relevant standards, safety regulations (e.g. DIN VDE 0100) as well as the technical connection conditions of the
energy supply companies must be absolutely adhered to. An all-pole mains switch / isolator, with a contact opening of
at least 3 mm (VDE 0700 T1 7.12.2 / EN 60335-1) is mandatory. The rated voltage and frequency must be consistent
with the information on the type plate. The supply line must be inserted so that the ingress of water along the line is
prevented in case of exposure to water. Never lead cables over sharp edges.
The units have protection class II without PE, protection class IP 45.
The electrical connection is carried out at the connecting terminals and in the terminal box (pre-assembled). The assi-
gned wiring diagrams SS-913 and SS-914 (connection with DSEL 3) must be observed (see Fig. 17 and 18).
The terminal box must be mounted in a suitable position!
The electrical connection must be fully isolated from the mains power supply until the installation is complete!
EMC regulation/standard
Important note regarding electromagnetic compatibility
Interference immunity according to DIN EN 55014-2 depending on pulse form and energy consumption 1000 V to
4000 V. These values may be exceeded in case of operation with fluorescent tubes, switching power supplies, elec-
tronically controlled halogen lamps and the like. In this case, additional interference suppression measures will be re-
quired by the customer (L, C or RC elements, protective diodes, varistors).
