8.3.2 Heat exchanger cleaning

Risk of burns due to hot surfaces!
Hot surfaces can cause serious burns.
> Allow unit to cool down for at least 5 minutes or wait until the fans are turned off.
m
Risk of injury due to rotating fans!
Rotating fans can injure limbs and cause serious injuries.
> Before working on the unit, wait until the fans are turned off.
m
Risk of injury due to the unit door falling down!
The unit door can fall down when removing and cause serious injuries.
> Wear protective footwear.
> Carefully remove the unit door with both hands.
1. Open both upper snap-in hooks on the unit door.
2. Remove the unit door.

Risk of injury due to the high weight of the heat exchanger!
The heat exchanger can fall down and cause serious injuries when removed from the unit.
> Wear protective footwear.
> Carefully remove the heat exchanger from the unit with both hands.
3. Remove terminal strip
ò
at top of heat exchanger (see Fig. 53).
4. Carefully remove the heat exchanger
ù
Damage to the heat exchanger due to the use of aggressive cleaning agents.
Aggressive cleaning agents can damage the heat exchanger.
> Do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
5. Clean the heat exchanger with a vacuum cleaner with a brush nozzle or with water.
6. During installation, place the heat exchanger

on the guide rail and push up to the stop. Ensure that the receptacle
seals are not damaged!
7. Re-insert the terminal strip
ò

8. Re-attach the unit door and close with the snap-in hooks.
8.4 Condensate drain maintenance
The condensate drain must be checked for functionality and, if necessary, replaced as needed and at least every 6
months.
Carry out functional inspection as follows:

1. Open both upper snap-in hooks on the unit door.
2. Remove the unit door.
3. Pour some water into the condensation tray with a watering can.
4. Check whether the water drains via the condensate hose and clean the condensate drain, if necessary.
5. Re-attach the unit door and close with the snap-in hooks.
