MULTI-FUNCTION TOOL
Note:
Sanding pad must be kept flat on work piece.
Do not tilt the sanding base and use the edge of the sanding paper. This may cause damage to
the sanding pad, reducing its ability to hold your sanding paper.
Sawing- Square Blade
CAUTION:
Clamp your workpiece securely if possible and ensure the Multi-Function Tool is not
placed on the workpiece before commencing your work.
Note:
Ensure your blades are not blunt or damaged in any way before commencing your
application.
1. In sawing mode, the Multi-Function Tool can be used on wood, plastics.
2. Slide the on/off switch forward to the "O” position.
3. Select the desired oscillation frequency speed on the variable speed dial and wait until the
motor reaches its maximum speed
4. If plunging use a slight pendulum motion, to allow sufficient chip or debris removal.
Note: If using the Multi-Function Tool for plunge cuts. Only use this application on soft materials
such as wood, gypsum plaster boards. Also check if there are no nails or screws in the workpiece
before cutting.
MAINTENANCE
•
Keep the ventilation slots of the Multi-Function Tool clean at all times, if possible, prevent
foreign matter from entering the vents.
•
After each use, blow air through the Multi-Function Tool housing to ensure it is free from all
dust particles which may build up. Buildup of dust particles may cause the Multi-Function Tool
to overheat and fail.
•
If the enclosure of the Multi-Function Tool requires cleaning do not use solvents but a moist
soft cloth only. Never let any liquid get inside the Tool; never immerse any part of the Multi-
Function Tool into a liquid.
Carbon brushes
When the carbon brushes wear out the Multi-Function Tool will spark and/or stop. Discontinue
use as soon as this happens. They should be replaced prior to recommencing use of the Multi-
Function Tool. Carbon brushes are a wearing component of the tool therefore not covered
under warranty. Continuing to use the Multi-Function Tool when carbon brushes need to be
replaced may cause permanent damage to the Multi-Function Tool. Carbon brushes will wear
out after many uses but when the carbon brushes need to be replaced take the tool to an
electrician or a power tool repairer for a replacement. Always replace both carbon brushes at
the same time.
WARNING!
The following actions will result in the warranty being void:
•
Professional, Industrial or high frequency use.
•
If the tool has been operated on a supply voltage other than that specified on the tool.
•
If the tool shows signs of damage or defects caused by or resulting from abuse, accidents or
alterations.
•
Failure to perform maintenance as set out within the instruction manual.
•
If the tool is disassembled or tampered with in any way.
