pieces that are used to connect the lead of the electrodes to an HF device. They are reusable items.
HF Cables
: An HF cable is a product that acts as an electrical conductor between an electrosurgical
unit and electrode and is used for the purpose of transmitting energy. This transfer of energy may or
may not contain information. It is a reusable product.
When used as intended, these products are more or less subject to wear, depending on the intensity
of use. This kind of wear is caused by technical factors and cannot be avoided. Therefore carry out a
thorough visual examination and a function test prior to each application of these products. If a new
product has externally visible defects or does not operate according to the instructions, contact the
manufacturer or his responsible representative immediately.
2.2 Contraindication
In the following cases, no or limited HF surgery should be performed:
• Patients with implanted pacemakers or pacemaker leads
In areas where flammable or explosive agents are present, e.g. Skin cleansing, degreasing and
disinfecting agents but also endogenous gases, e.g. in the gastrointestinal tract (risk of fire and
explosion)
• Acute emergency situation
• serious coagulation disorders
• Severe impairment of lungs or cardiovascular system
3 Storage
Temperature: -20 °C - +50°C
Relative humidity: 0 -75%, not condensing
Atmospheric pressure: 500 -1600 mbar
Products must be protected from direct sunlight in storage. The storage of the
products in their original packaging until their first use is recommended.
