SECTION THREE Electrical Installation
WARNING:
THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED
The Installation must comply with the Building Regulations Part P. Where there is a new installation, or a
replacement product is not identical to the one being replaced, the cable sizes, circuit protective devices, bonding
and other requirements of the Building Regulations must be assessed by a (registered) qualifed and competent
electrican, who should carry out the installation taking into account the site conditions.
3.1
The shower must only be connected to a 230V-240V ac supply

3.2 Before making any electrical connections within the installation, make sure that no terminal is live.
If in doubt, switch off the whole installation at the consumer unit or switch fuse (where fitted).
3.3
It is strongly recommended that a 30mA rcd is incorporated in the circuit, even if it is not required to comply with
BS 7671.
3.4
A double-pole isolating switch with a contact separation of at least 3mm in each pole, must be incorporated in the
circuit.
This must have a mechanical indicator showing when the switch is in the OFF position. A neon lamp alone is not
sufficient.

PREPARATION:
4.1
Remove the fixing screws which hold the front cover to the backplate. Note that the upper screws are different
from the lower one.
4.2
Carefully remove the cover, which holds the control knob and push buttons captive, by pulling directly away from
the backplate. Do not twist, otherwise you may snap the fixing lugs on the front cover.
