• All flooring and hearth material must remian below the
bottom of the surround. See Figure 3.18.
• Combustible flooring may be located in front of
the appliance. See Figure 3.19 for vinyl flooring
recommendations.
• 1/2 inch gap under the bottom of the front must be
maintained. See Figure 3.17.
• A minimum 1/4 inch gap from the bottom of the appliance
to the metal floor of the solid fuel firebox is
REQUIRED.

• Combustible flooring underneath the appliance is
acceptable with a 1/4 inch gap. See Figure 3.20.
