Selecting the custom

program modes

The program mode switch is
used to select from one of four
custom program modes stored
in your EXCITE hearing aid.
Each mode has been chosen for
different environments.

Mode 1 is set for general use.

Mode 2 is suitable for noisy/
restaurant environments.

Mode 3 should be used for
listening to TV or music.

Mode 4 selects the audio
Induction loop and can be used
with telephones or in movie
theatres.

You can choose the mode
that helps you the most in
the particular setting you are
in. Here’s how you can cycle
through the program modes.

When your hearing aid is
turned on it will start in Mode 1.

When the program mode
switch is pressed the hearing
aid will switch to the next
program mode and it will
play a number of beeps. The
number of beeps tells you what
program mode the hearing aid
is in:  One beep for mode 1, two
beeps for mode 2, etc.

If you have two hearing aids,
ensure that the same program
mode is selected for both
hearing aids.
