Congratulations that you have chosen a product
from “Healthy Line “ range, this is a choice
inspired. The “Healthy Line” products are special
made for you, that having as main purpose to offer
to you solutions for perfect health.
Important safety instructions
• The thermometer is suitable exclusively for
measurement of the body temperature.
•
The minimum measurement time before the
signaling tone (beep) must be maintained without
exception!
• Protect the thermometer from hitting and striking
using the protective case!
• The thermometer contains small parts (battery,
etc.) that can be swallowed by children. Therefore
never leave the thermometer with children
attended.
• Avoid ambient temperature above 60 °C. Never
boil the thermometer!
• Use only the commercial disinfectants listed in
the sections “ cleaning and disinfecting” to clean
the thermometer.
Using the thermometer
To turn on the thermometer, push the button by the
display window; a short beep signals “thermometer
ON”. A display test is performed. Then the
thermometers ready
for
use. During a
measurement
the
temperature
is
displayed
continuously. The “C” symbol flashes during this
period. If the tone sound (beep 4 times) and the
“°C” is no longer flashing, the thermometer is
ready for reading.
Warning! To prolong the life of the battery, turn it
off after use by pressing the operating button
briefly.
Otherwise
the
thermometer
will
automatically turn off after about 9 minutes.
Memory function
The last measurement will be automatically
displayed after display check and self check when
the power is turned on.
Measuring methods
In the mouth (oral)
Position the thermometer in one of the two pockets
under the tongue,
to the left or right of the tongue. Ensure measuring
sensor is pressed firmly against the base of the
tongue. Close your mouth and breathe evenly
through the nose to prevent the measurement from
being
influenced
by
inhaled/exhaled
air.
Approx.measuring time 15-19 sec.
In the armpit (axillary)
From the medical viewpoint, this method will
always provide inaccurate readings, and should not
be used if precise measurement is required.
Approx. measuring time: 23-29 seconds.
In the anus (rectal)
This is the most reliable measuring method, and is
especially appropiate for infants and small children.
Carefully insert the tip of the thermometer 2 or 3
cm into the anal aperture. Approx. measuring time
9-11 seconds.
Cleaning and disinfecting
Use soft cloth moistened with the following alcohol
to clean and disinfect the thermometer casing and
the measuring tip. Never use abrasive cleaning
agents, thinners or benzene for cleaning and never
immerse the instrument in water or other cleaning
liquids.
Battery exhaustion
When the " " symbol appears in the lower right
hand corner of the display, the battery is exhausted
and needs to be replaced.
