10 Preparing the Stud Welding Gun
10.2 Setting the Welding Parameters
The spring force is, among others, dependent on the workpiece and welding ele-
ments used and their diameters.
The specifications in the following table are guidelines.
Select the applicable parameters for spring force for your workpiece.

With thick and dense insulating mats, the spring force should be raised due to the increasing friction between
