The axle may only be screwed in to the maximum extent until the
end is flush with the stop nut.
The correct adjustment is found when the air release stop no
longer closes during operation venting, but after a short time
during compressed air flushing.
If the air release stop does not close during the compressed
air purging, the distance between the sealing cones must
be reduced. To do this, hold the stop nut as described above
and turn the axle outwards a few turns counterclockwise. The
correct adjustment is found if the air release stop does not close
during operation venting, but closes after a short time during
compressed air flushing.
After completion of the compressed air purging, the residual
pressure remaining in the pipeline must be removed through the
overflow outlet to allow the air release stop to open. In order
to speed up returning to normal operating states, the overflow
outlet is infinitely variable between 3 mm² and 28 mm².
To do this, unscrew the plastic screw inserted laterally into the
valve body counter-clockwise using an AF 7 open-end spanner
(until the black O-ring on the screw becomes visible). Since an
enlarged overflow outlet automatically means increased air loss
during the compressed air purge, it should only be set as large
as necessary to allow it to open in a reasonable amount of time.
5. Maintenance and servicing of the air release stop:
The air release stop must also be checked at least in every valve maintenance. To do this, unscrew the air release
stop (valve) or remove (set). Check the ease of operation of the shut-off mechanism by slowly pressing on the plug.
The openings of the overflow screw should be specially checked for contamination and cleaned if necessary. If the
air release stop is dirty inside, the entire component can be soaked in clean water and then rinsed under running
water. Disassembly of the air release stop should be avoided as far as possible!
Should it ever be necessary, remove the plastic fixing ring at the outlet and pull out the complete mechanism. The
valve insert can be disassembled into its individual parts and cleaned by unscrewing the stop nut.
The assembly takes place in reverse order.
