inJury HaZarD:
the ViC chair has a warning label on the top of
the base cover that states: when chair is in the
non-transport mode: patient must remain fully
upright; patient must never be reclined; patient
must never be left unattended.
3.4.1 repositioning the Footrest
the footrest has three positions; retracted,
lower and the upper positions. with the pan in
the retracted position pull out, on the handles
on either side of pan (Figure 3-13). the footrest
will drop into the lower position (Figure 3-14).
to place the footrest into the upper position,
grasp the handles on both sides of the pan. tilt
the pan up while lifting (Figure 3-15). Once the
pan is up all the way, tilt the pan out until it
locks into position (Figure 3-16). to return the
footrest into the retracted position, tilt the
pan up while letting it slide down, if needed,
(Figure 3-15), into the lower position (Figure
3-13), continue tilting the footrest until it is in
the retracted position.
