4. Operating the Trimmer
a) Use the trimmer at an angle of
approximately 20° to the working area (see fig.
23).
b) Do not overload your trimmer. Make small
passes in a semi-circular arc (see fig 24, 25
and 26), especially when cutting long grass.
This will keep the machine operating at a high
speed and will greatly improve the cutting
efficiency of the trimmer.

6. Adjusting the cutting line
When initially switching on the trimmer, a small
length of line is fed out. A ‘clattering’ noise will
be heard for a short time. This is normal and is
caused by the line being cut by the line cutter.
Once the line is cut to the correct length, the
‘clattering’ noise will stop and the trimmer
motor will run at full speed.
To feed more line, stop the trimmer completely,
then restart, allowing the motor to reach
full speed. Repeat this until you hear the
‘clattering’ noise of the line cutting.
To manually feed out line, ensure the trimmer
is not plugged into a power outlet. Press the
manual line feed button located on the side
of the cutting head and pull the trimmer line
outward (see fig 27).
