The toaster is in BUN mode (one-sided
toasting).
Press the “BREAD” key for BREAD mode (two-
sided toasting).
Heating element defective.
If the element does not glow, contact
Authorized Service Agent or Hatco for
assistance.
Toaster trips the circuit breaker or
GFCI.
Circuit breaker is not sized properly for the
toaster.
Check circuit breaker for proper sizing.
Wiring fault inside toaster.
