Section 6 Troubleshooting
Platinum Z16HD+
24V, 15V, 12V, -15V, -12V, 8V, 5V, 3V (Low Voltage Power Supplies): All on-board
low voltage supplies thresholds are +/-20% - Warning only.
VSWR FOLDBACK: Indication of a foldback condition, where the threshold levels
are based on the TX type and modulation defined in the master configuration file. The
foldback circuit will cancel the foldback state, and automatically restore power to the
previous level, once the condition causing the high VSWR stops.
PA TEMP WARN: 84° C threshold exceeded - Warning only.
EEPROM: Data CRC error.
CPLD: Cannot communicate with CPLD.
BIT DIGITAL: At least one digital I/O has failed.
BIT ANALOG: At least one analog I/O has failed.

BoostPro Diagnostics/Programming
For all meter readings and programming including and beyond the front panel abilities,
the VT100 is the emulation method used to interface a computer with the BoostPro
amplifier. Any parameter accessable on the front panel GUI can also be viewed and
modified via VT100. By using a PC and terminal application of your choice (such as
HyperTerminal) connected to the COM port with a serial cable with DB-9 connector,
you’ll have access to the VT100 screens.

VT100 Setup
This section outlines the steps necessary to physically connect, start the terminal
program, electronically handshake with, navigate the VT100 screens, and perform
edits.
STEP 1
Turn BoostPro off
STEP 2
Connect RS-232 port to your PC via serial cable
STEP 3
Turn BoostPro on
STEP 4
Start terminal program (such as HyperTerminal) with following settings
•
Bits Per Second = 19200
•
Data Bits = 8
•
Parity = None
•
Stop Bits = 1
