Remove the
Chassis Cover
Before installing any components, replacing chassis fans, or accessing the
motherboard, you first need to remove the top cover.
1 Press both release tabs at the same time to release the cover from the
locked position.
2 Once the top cover has been released, slide the cover backwards, toward
the rear of the chassis.
3 Lift the cover up and off the chassis.

Warning
Except for short periods of
time, do NOT operate the
server without the cover in
place. The chassis cover must
be in place to allow proper
airflow and prevent
overheating.
