Remove the plastic plug from the
center of the park brake housing.
•
Install brake release tool by placing on
the brake housing and tightening the
bolt into the piston.
•
Tighten the nut until the motor shaft
turns freely.
•
Brakes are now released, proceed to
next section to open the by-pass
valve.
Opening the By-Pass Valve
•
The by-pass valve is located on the
bottom side of the propulsion pump
that is directly coupled to the engine.
The valve can be accessed below the
engine compartment.
•
The by-pass connects the ports A-B
and must be used only in case of
emergency and only for moving
machine short distances.
PRECAUTION
By-pass valve is intended for moving a
machine for very short distances at very
slow speeds. It is not intended as a tow
valve.
•
To open, turn by-pass valve counter-
clockwise (CCW) two full turns using a
17 mm wrench.
PRECAUTION
To avoid leakage, do not exceed two CCW
turns of the screw.
•
After moving machine is complete,
close the by-pass by turning valve CW,
and then follow the brake release
procedure in opposite order to remove
brake release tools.
