Using the Remote Control

It is convenient to think of the functions of the remote
control buttons in terms of “pages,” where each source
device (e.g., CD player) represents its own page of
remote functions. The result is that some of the keys
will perform different functions depending upon which
device page has been selected prior to pressing the

key. Device pages are selected by pressing the 

Source Selectors

, which also changes the input

source selection on the HK 3380.

The Video 1, Video 2, Video 3, Tape Monitor/CDR and
CD device pages are factory-programmed to operate
compatible Harman Kardon products. The Video 1,
Video 2 and Video 3 device pages are programmed 

at the factory to default to Harman Kardon DVD player
control codes. The Tape Monitor/CDR device page is
programmed as a factory default to operate Harman
Kardon CD Recorders. The CD page defaults to
Harman Kardon CD player or changer control codes.
Please refer to the table below for specific information
on the default functions of the remote keys for each
device.
