Pre-Use inspections MUST be completed prior to each use, by a competent person.

Official periodic inspection must be performed at least semi-annually in accordance with all

appropriate local standards. The inspection must be performed by a qualified person other than

the intended user. If severe weather or conditions exist then inspections must be carried out more

frequently. All inspection results must be logged in the space provided above.

1. Make sure all labeling is affixed to the unit and all product/traceability information is

    present/legible.

2. Inspect anchoring system for signs of damage or wear including corrosion and heat damage.

Move all rollers and beads to inspect cable length and terminations.

3. Visually inspect wire rope along full length and at formed eyes, moving rollers/beads. Checking

for signs of corrosion, impact/loading damage, cuts, frays, birdcaging and heat damage.

4. Inspect beads and rollers for signs of wear and damage. Please note damage to rollers and

beads will NOT affect the structural integrity of the product, but could affect operational

performance, or lead to the wire becoming exposed to a leading edge.

5. Record inspection results in the space provided above. It is recommended that following

successful inspection, the equipment is tagged wth ‘next inspection date’, using

    non-destructive means.

*If any damage that could affect the strength or operation of the device, or unsafe

conditions are found, proper disposal is required. The anchorage connector must

be rendered unusable and then properly discarded.
