Power Up Process
NOTE:
Complete these procedures after ALL the wiring and connections have been installed.
Pre Power Up Check
Procedures
Step 1.
AC Power Lines
- Check to see that HOT, NEUTRAL, and
GROUND are properly wired at the outlet receptacle and the
rear panel POWER connector. Use a Volt Meter and verify
that the AC power is correct either 110 or 220 VAC.
Step 2.
Load Cell Cable
- Check to see the load cell connections
match the color code given for their respective model number.
Step 3.
Feeder Control Lines
- Check to see that the correct analog
output is used for your particular feeder (current or voltage
control).
Step 4.
Relay Output Wires
- Check to see if devices controlled by
these outputs are operational (Exercise valves, indicators,
etc.)
Step 5.
Analog and Serial Communications Cable
- Check to see
that the proper cable connections are being used and proper
configuration.
Step 6.
Remote Functions Wiring
- Check to be sure all wires are
tight and routed away from high voltage switching or high
magnetic fields.
Step 7. Apply power to the HI 2160RC
PLUS
Controller.
Step 8. Turn on the feeder.
NOTE:
Always connect the power source to the HI 2160RC
PLUS
first, before turning on the
feeder. This insures proper feeder motor control.
Proper Power Up
Indicators
•
The screen displays the word "WAIT"
•
The controller begins the self-test count up sequence.
•
The screen momentarily displays "WS = X (1.2.3.4 or 5) (Waver-
saver jumper position) (Factory Default is 4)
