Quick Setup Guide
General Info
For a quick and easy start with your new HC 8600/9600 controller, it is strongly recommended to set up the controller by
using this quick setup guide.
To change settings later, or for a more in-depth explanation of settings, please refer to the following parts of this chapter.
Before Setup
Before beginning the setup, the following steps must be taken:
• Enable Universal Terminal. See “Enable Universal Terminal and Task Controller” on page 45.
• Setup HARDI® ISOBUS with all sprayer details, such as Tank Size, Boom Length, etc. Please refer to the instruction book
“CONTROLLER ISOBUS VT” for details.
• Restart the HC 8600 or HC 9600 controller and JobCom/C2C module for the changes to take effect. Cycle power to do
this.
• Begin Configuration for your sprayer type.
Sprayer Types
The following configuration is split into two parts, depending on the sprayer type:
• Trailer and Lift sprayers. See “Configuration for Trailer and Lift sprayers” on page 48 (below).

ATTENTION! As this part covers both Trailer and Lift sprayers, please note that some steps may vary, as some do not
appear while others may be specific to your sprayer type.
• Self-Propelled sprayer. See “Configuration for Self-Propelled sprayers” on page 60.
Sprayer Offsets
Standard offsets for HARDI® sprayers can be viewed in “Sprayer Offsets” on page 197.
Configuration for Trailer and Lift sprayers
1. At the HC 9600 Home Screen, press to
enter the Configuration Setup.
