Operation

Note: All accessories used must be rated 18,000 RPM or greater.

Note: Pnuematic tool oil must be applied through the line before each use, or every hour if
used continuously.

For best service, you should incorporate an oiler, a regulator, and an inline air filter, as shown
below.  An adapter will be needed to connect 1/4” NPS hose line to 1/4” NPT inlet.  All are
available at Harbor Freight Tools.

Note: Make sure your regulator on your air compressor does not exceed the recommended
90 PSI.

Note:  Make sure you have the appropriate grit sand paper for the job.

Note: This tool has no safety shield.  DO NOT USE GRINDING DISCS WITH THIS TOOL.

1.  Connect the Sander to the air compressor at the Inlet Bushing (#6).  Turn on the
compressor.
2.  It is recommended that the Sander be brought up to speed before contacting work surface.
Gently squeeze the Trigger (#14) to start the Sander.

Note:  The Sander has a fine tune air adjustment to  meet specific sanding needs.
The Sander must be OFF before making any adjustments.  Use a screwdriver to
gently turn the screw in the Regulator (#2).

3.  You can vary the speed of the sander dependent on the amount of pressure you apply to the
Trigger (#14).
4.  Do not sand side to side.  Sand with a random pattern.  Do not force the tool.  Work an area
for a few seconds and then back off and examine your progress.
5.  During continuous sanding, check your sand paper every few minutes for wear and tear.
Do not use torn or severely worn sand paper.  Replace when necessary, using the instructions
on page 4, under Assembly.
6.  When you are finished, remove the sander from the work surface, release the
Trigger (#14), and turn off the air compressor.

Maintenance

Warning!!  Do not use detergent oil or additives with this tool.  These lubricants cause
accelerated wear to the seals.
1.  Wipe tool clean after each use.
2.  Pnuematic tool oil must be applied through the line before each use, or every hour if used
continuously.
3.  Periodically apply a few drops of oil to the Trigger (#14), while working it (when the Sander
is disconnected from the air compressor hose).
