Operation

Setting Up The Vise

1.  Use the Mounting Slots (See 

FIGURE 1

) to mount the Vice to your milling machine.

Follow the safety and assembly instructions supplied with your milling machine on the proper
mounting location and safety precautions for mounting a Vise.

1.  With a wrench (not included), turn the 

Locking Nuts (#15)

 counterclockwise to loosen the

swivel 

Base (#1)

 and swivel the Vise to the desired position.  Turn the 

Locking Nuts (#15)

clockwise to tighten it in place.  

Note:

  The Vise has a Scale to assist when swiveling.  The

Scale is set in repetitive increments of 0 to 90 degrees.  0 to 90 degrees repeats four times for
a total of 360 degrees.  See 

FIGURE 1

 and Scale Insert.

2.  To open the Jaws, turn the 

Handle (#12)

 counterclockwise until the Movable Jaw (See

FIGURE 1

.)  opens to the desired width.  Insert the workpiece.

3.  Turn the 

Handle (#12)

 clockwise to tighten the Jaws around the workpiece.  Do not over-

tighten the Vise on the workpiece; damage may occur to the workpiece.
4.  When you are finished, turn the 

Handle (#12)

 counterclockwise to loosen the Jaws.

Do not over tighten.

Maintenance

1.  For better and safer perfomance keep all of the Vise parts clean and
dry at all times.
