Do not operate Range Finder if under the influence of alcohol or drugs.  Read

warning labels on prescriptions to determine if your judgment or reflexes are impaired
while taking drugs. If there is any doubt, do not operate the Range Finder.

10. Maintenance.  For your safety, maintenance should be performed regularly by a

qualified optical technician.

Warning: The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual
cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be under-
stood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be
built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.

Unpacking

When unpacking, check to make sure the parts listed on page 4 are included. If any parts
are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number on the cover of this
manual as soon as possible.

Main Purpose:  To measure the distance between you and the
flagstick.  Note:  The distance measured is an approximate
distance.  Note:  Before operation, run the thin strap on the end of
the Hand Strap through the loop on the Range Finder.
Slide the Hand Strap backthrough itself to secure it.
See Assembly Drawing on page 4.
1.  Line up the bottom of the flagstick (the entire flagstick
must be visible) with the Green Line.  See FIGURE 1.
2.  Line up the top of the flagstick with the yardage marking
on the Range Finder.  Read off the correct distance.
3.  For measuring distance to anything other than
a golf flagstick, you must know the height of the object
you are measuring in yards (1yard = 3 feet).
4.  Line up the top of the object with the yardage marking
on the Range Finder.  Multiply the height of the object (in yards) by the
number on the yard scale, across from the top of the object
in the viewfinder.  Divide the answer by 2.70.
The result is the approximate distance to the object.

Maintenance

1.  Keep the Range Finder clean.  Wipe with a lint free cloth.
2.  Use soft cotton or lens cleaning cloth on both the front and rear lenses.
3.  Store in a dry location.
