Park Brake Lever 

The park brake lever is located to the right of steering column.  To set the 
brake, pull the brake lever towards the operator.  To release park brake, 
depress button on top of the lever and return lever to vertical position. 
 
To prevent the roller from rolling, the park brake must be set whenever the 
operator leaves the unit. 

 

Emergency Shut Off Button 

If the operator pushes the emergency stop button into the OFF position, the 
engine will automatically shut off. 

 

Seat Switch 

The seat is equipped with an emergency engine kill switch that will shut off 
engine if operator leaves seat while transmission is in gear.

Before operating and on a daily basis, the roller should be inspected to ensure 
it is in safe operating condition.   

 

Use the following checklist as a guide to inspect your new roller.  Any 
problems should be corrected before operating. 

 
 

Inspection Checklist 

 

Check engine oil. 

 

Check transmission fluid reservoir. Make sure oil is visible between 
full and fill lines in reservoir.  

 

Check for fluid leaks. 

 

Make sure parking brake is set by checking that lever is pulled toward 
rear of unit and ratchet locking mechanism is engaged.  Unit should 
not move.

Note:  This machine is intended to be used only on leveled surfaces

 
Starting the Roller 

1.

 

Ensure “Emergency Stop” button is in the UP position. 

 

2.

 

Parking brake must be fully engaged. 

 

3.

 

Transmission gearshift must be in NEUTRAL.
