Before you begin, place the bike on a hard level surface where you
have room to work. Lay out the parts included in this kit and compare
to the parts list in these instructions. If any parts or hardware are
missing, contact us immediately at the number listed above.
NOTE:
When installing HT guards and racks, leave all bolts loose
until entire rack is fitted. This allows the rack to move and
take up differences in frame constructions. We recom-
mend that thread locking compound be used on all bolts.
Installation Instructions
Remove the turn signals.
Loosely install the angle brackets to the tail plate as shown
in the photos and the section drawing below. Use the
M8x20 Button Head bolts, Nylock nut, and 2 flat washers
each.
Loosely install the side plates as shown in the photo at the
right.
Fit the rack to the bike threading in the front mounts with the
M8x40 Socket head bolt.
Use the M8x50 Bolt at the rear mount. Fit the 1” spacer if
no SU racks are used. Make sure the turn signal tabs bend
inward towards the tail light.
Install the turn signals on the new tabs and route the wires
to the original connectors. Once everything is mounted,
tighten up all the bolts.
