Installation, connection and initial commissioning
Choosing a suitable location
CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
The appliance is heavy and bulky. Im-
proper handling of the appliance may
result in injury.
■
Seek the help of another person dur-
ing transport, installation and assem-
bly.
■
If a trolley is used to move the appli-
ance, the appliance must be moved
as shown on the packaging.
■
Only lift the appliance as shown on
the packaging.
■
Remove all obstacles on the transport
route and from the installation loca-
tion, e.g. open doors and clear away
objects lying on the fl oor.
The planned location must fulfil the following
prerequisites:
– The location must be a dry and frost-safe
room with a firm ground.
– In order to install the connection pipes, the
dishwasher must be positioned near to a
washing/dishwashing basin or the floor
drain.

Malfunction!
Failing to connect the appliance cor-
rectly may cause malfunctions during
operation.

Make sure that the waste water can
drain freely at any time. To that end,

the outlet pipe must have a minimum
diameter of 40 mm.
■
Ensure that there are no kinks or dam-
age to the outlet hose.
■
Make sure that the end of the hose is
not submerged in the pumped water.
■
Do not extend the outlet hose or re-
place with another drainage pipe.

You can connect the end of the outlet hose in
two different ways:
– Connection to a floor drain.
– Direct connection to the odour seal (si-
phon) of your washing/dishwashing basin.
Technical measures are required for this.
For this reason, only plumbing experts or
members of our service team may connect
the outlet hose (see page EN-31). The out-
let hose must be a maximum of 1000 mm
above the floor.
Connecting the inlet hose

Risk of damage!
The dishwasher is designed for a water
pressure of 0.4 bar to 10 bar (0.04 MPa
to 1.0 MPa, 40 to 100 N/cm²). Water
must always be able to run freely into
