Intended use
This appliance is intended to be used to re-
move cooking fumes and airborne grease
from a cooktop in a private household. It is
not designed for use in a commercial setting.
Use the appliance exclusively as described
in this user manual. Any other use is deemed
improper and may result in damage to prop-
erty or even personal injury. The manufactur-
er accepts no liability for damage caused by
improper use.

This symbol indicates a hazard with a medi-
um level of risk which, if not avoided, could
result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION
This symbol indicates a hazard with a low lev-
el of risk which, if not avoided, could result in
minor or moderate injury.
NOTICE
This symbol warns against possible damage
to property.

Only use the appliance indoors. Do
not use in wet rooms or in the rain.

Follow this user manual when assem-
bling and installing the appliance.
This also applies when fastening
screws.

ate the appliance, if

it shows visible signs of damage,
for example, the connection cable
is defective;
–
starts smoking or there is a burning
smell;

it makes unusual sounds.
In such cases, remove the mains plug
from the socket and contact our ser-
vice department (see page EN-23).

tion class 1 and may only be connect-
ed to a properly installed protective
conductor. Ensure that the voltage is
correct when connecting it. You can
find more detailed information about
this on the nameplate.
