You can only dispense water and ice
when the door to the freezer is closed.
If the door is opened during dispensing, the
water or ice dispensing will end automatically.
If the signals , or are not visible, press
the (25) DISPENSER button once. The signal
will appear on the display.
Switching on the ice maker
If you are dispensing cold water or ice for the
first time or following an extended locking of
the ice maker, you need to prepare the appli-
ance as follows:

1. Remove the locking box (34) from the ice
dispenser (2).
Store the locking box in a safe place in case
you need to lock the ice maker in future.
2. If applicable, unlock the control panel by
pressing the (22) LOCK/UNLOCK button.
3. Press the (30) ICE OFF button to unlock
the ice maker.
4. Dispense cold water from the ice maker
until the water flowing from the ice and
cold water outlet (36) is free of bubbles. In
doing so, the ice maker should be flushed
with at least 5 litres of water. Proceed as
described in the following chapter. Do not
use the water you have used to rinse the
machine.

1. Press the (25) DISPENSER selection but-
ton enough times until the (26) symbol
appears on the display.

2. Hold the vessel as closely as possible
to the opening for the ice (36), in order
to avoid crushed ice from spraying out
around the sides of the vessel.
3. Push the vessel against the dispenser
guide (35). The vessel will be filled with
crushed ice.
4. To stop the flow of ice, pull the vessel
back slightly from the dispenser guide.
Keep holding the vessel under the ice
outlet for another 2 seconds to catch any
falling ice.
