■
Remove stored food from the appli-
ance – even when only switching off
the appliance temporarily – and store
it in a suffi ciently cool place or in an-
other cooling appliance.
■
Consume thawed and defrosted foods
immediately and do not refreeze.
If you won’t use the appliance for a prolonged
period (e.g. if you go on holiday), you can ac-
tivate “Holiday mode”. This will save energy.
When the “Holiday mode” is active, the fridge
temperature will be adjusted to +17 °C; the
freezer temperature remains the same.
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section “Locking/unlocking the control pan-
el” on page EN-13.
2. Press the MODE button (24) repeatedly
until the “Holiday mode active” indica-
tor (20) flashes. The temperature display
for the fridge will change to +17 °C; the
freezer temperature remains the same.
The temperature setting in the freezer re-
turns to the previously set value; “Holiday
mode” is activated.
Deactivating “Holiday mode”
1. Unlock the control panel as described in
section “Locking/unlocking the control pan-
el” on page EN-13.
2. Press the MODE button (24) repeated-
ly until the indicators
ECO
(26), (20) or
(25) are no longer visible.
The temperature setting in the fridge re-
turns to the previously set value; “Holiday
mode” is deactivated.
Door alarm
The use of energy and the temperature inside
the appliance can increase if the doors are
opened often or for long periods of time.
A beep will sound if the fridge door (2) is left
open for longer than 2 minutes.
• Close the fridge door (2).
The shelves
The glass shelves (16) and the small door
shelf (4) can be removed and rearranged if
necessary.
The drawer in the freezer can be removed,
if needed, to create more space in the lower
drawers in the freezer.
You will achieve the most efficient use of en-
ergy for your appliance if you combine the
drawers, glass shelves and door shelves as
shown in the figure on page EN-11.
• To remove the glass shelves (14) or (16)
(e.g. to clean them), lift them slightly at the
front and then pull them out of the guide
rail.
• In order to remove the glass cover (12) for
the fresh food drawer (11), you should re-
move the fruit/vegetable drawer (13) first.
Pictograms
The following pictograms can be found on the
fresh food drawer (11):
This means you can store fresh meat, fresh
fish as well as fresh fruit and fresh vegetables
in the fresh food drawer (11), depending on
how you set the controller (27) (see “Setting
the temperature and humidity in the fresh
food drawer” on page EN-14).
