Activating and deactivating
Quick Freezing
The “Quick freezing” operating mode rapidly
cools the freezer to –24 °C.
Activating quick freezing
• Perform the following steps within
10 seconds:
1. Turn the temperature controller in the
fridge (16) to the OFF position.
2. Turn the temperature controller in the
fridge to the COLDEST position.
3. Turn the temperature controller in the
fridge to the OFF position once again.
4. Turn the temperature controller in the
fridge to its original position.
After approx. 1.5 seconds, the interior
light (1) will begin to flash: 1.5 seconds
on, 0.5 seconds off.
Deactivating quick freezing
Quick freezing will be deactivated au-
tomatically after 50 hours.
• To deactivate quick freezing manual-
ly, turn the temperature controller in the
fridge (16) to the OFF position.
Door alarm
The use of energy and the temperature inside
the appliance can increase if the appliance
doors are opened often or for long periods
of time.
If the fridge door (2) is left open for more than
90 seconds, the interior light (1) will begin to
flash: 0.5 seconds on, 0.5 seconds off; 3 sec-
onds break; followed by another 0.5 seconds
on, 0.5 seconds off.
• Close the fridge door.
The shelves
The “Convenient zone” drawer (12) in the
freezer can be removed to create more space
in the small drawer (11) below it.
You will achieve the most efficient use of en-
ergy for your appliance if you combine the
drawers, glass shelves and door shelves as
shown in the figure on page EN-10.
Water tank and water

Filling the water tank
CAUTION
Health hazard!
Standing water may cause damage to
health.
■
Clean water tanks if they have not
been used for 48 hours; fl ush the wa-
ter system connected to a water sup-
ply if water has not been drawn for
5 days.
■
Do not dispense water from the cold
water outlet for longer than 3 min-
utes at a time.
■
Use only fresh drinking water to fi ll
the water tank. Do not fi ll the water
tank with any other fl uids.
