Troubleshooting table
Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appli-
ances. This does not necessarily mean there
is a defect in the appliance. For this reason,
please check the tables to see if you can cor-
rect the malfunction.
Temperature alarm
If the temperature within the appliance in-
creases to above
−
8 °C for longer than
6 hours, a warning signal will sound for
10 seconds. The temperature display (2) will
show the fault code ‘E9’.
The temperature alarm will sound repeatedly
every 30 minutes. It will stop sounding only
when the temperature within the appliance
falls back to below
−
12 °C, or if you switch
off the alarm.
• To disable the alarm, press any button.

automatically turns on.
Appliance cools
too quickly.
Temperature has been set
too low.
Select a higher setting (see “Setting the
temperature” on page EN-11).
The appliance
doesn’t cool suffi-
ciently.
Temperature has been set
too high.
Select a lower setting (see “Setting the
temperature” on page EN-11).
Door not tightly closed or
door seal is not completely
tight.

The appliance is near a heat
source (e.g. oven).
Place the insulation plate between the ap-
pliances or change location.
Food has been stored warm. Only store cooled foods.
Too many goods frozen.
Details of the freezing capacity of your appli-
ance can be found on the type plate of your
appliance.
Ambient temperature too low
or too high.
Adjust ambient temperature (see “Intended
use” on page EN-5).
Compressor seems defec-
tive.
Set the appliance to ‘Quick freeze’. If the
compressor does not switch on within an
hour, please contact our service department
(see page EN-27).
