Improper handling of the appliance can
lead to fi re and damage to property.

Connect the appliance only to a prop-
erly installed and earthed electric
socket.
■
Do not connect to a multi-socket ex-
tension cable or a multi-socket plug.
■
Do not position the appliance directly
against the wall and adhere to min-
imum distances (see “Start-up” on
page EN-27).

Do not store glass or metal contain-
ers containing water, lemonade, beer,
etc. Water expands when frozen and
can burst the container.
■
Do not use mechanical devices or
other means to accelerate the de-
frosting process, other than those
recommended by the manufacturer.
For example, do not use any electric
heating equipment, knives or devic-
es with an open fl ame such as a can-
dle. The thermal insulation and the
interior are prone to scratching, are
heat-sensitive and can melt.

with water systems
CAUTION
Health hazard!
Standing water may cause damage to
health.
■
Clean water tanks if they have not
been used for 48 hours; fl ush the wa-
ter system connected to a water sup-
ply if water has not been drawn for
5 days.
■
Do not dispense water from the cold
water outlet for longer than 3 min-
utes at a time.
■
Use only potable water to fi ll the wa-
ter tank. Do not fi ll the water tank
with any other fl uids.

If the cooling appliance has been trans-
ported horizontally, lubricant from the
compressor may get into the cooling
circuit.
■
If possible, only transport the cooling
appliance in a vertical position.
■
Allow the cooling appliance to stand
upright for two hours before starting
it up. The lubricant will fl ow back into
the compressor during this time.
