Switching the appliance on
and off
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
If the cooling unit has been transport-

pressor may get into the cooling circuit.
■
Allow the appliance to stand upright
for approx. 2 hours after transport
and before connecting.

(1)
Switching on
1. Insert the mains plug into an easily acces-
sible socket (220–240 V~/50 Hz).
– The interior lighting (2) switches on when
you open the appliance door.
2. Turn the temperature controller (1) to a
value higher than “0”.
The appliance is then switched on. The
compressor starts to work, the refrigerant
flows through the pipes and a quiet hum-
ming sound can be heard.
Operation
Switching off
1. Disconnect the mains plug from the sock-
et.
– The interior lighting (2) stays off when
you open the appliance door.
– The compressor is switched off. The ap-
pliance doesn’t refrigerate.
2. Empty the appliance and clean it (see
“Care and maintenance” on page EN-15).
3. Leave the appliance door slightly open to
prevent mould from forming.
Setting the temperature
CAUTION
Health hazard!
The appliance may not operate proper-
ly if the ambient temperature exceeds
or falls below the specifi ed temperature
range for a prolonged period. This can
then lead to an increase in temperature
inside the appliance.
■
Always ensure the prescribed ambi-
ent temperature is maintained (see
“Intended use” on page EN-4).
Set the temperature to +6 °C and fill the fridge
in such a way that the temperature conditions
inside are optimally utilised, guaranteeing op-
timal food storage.
A temperature setting that is too high or too
low can reduce the shelf life of your food. This
leads to greater food waste.
The appliance’s interior temperature can be
adjusted in increments of “1” to “7”:
• To increase the appliance’s chilling capac-
ity, turn the temperature controller clock-
wise towards “7”.
The setting “7” is reached by turning the
dial clockwise as far as it will go.
